How we collect, use, and protect your information
Last updated: September 15, 2026
Maza Academics ("we," "us," or "our") provides tutoring, test preparation, and essay coaching services. This policy explains what personal information we collect through mazaacademics.com, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We work primarily with students and their families, and we take that responsibility seriously.
When you complete the contact form on our site, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if you provide one), the service you are interested in, and whatever you choose to tell us about your goals. When you book a consultation through our scheduling link, Google Calendar collects the information required to create that appointment.
If you become a client, we also hold the information necessary to deliver our services and manage the engagement: scheduling details, session notes, essay drafts and other work you share with us, and billing records.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. It collects information such as pages viewed, time on page, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and the site that referred you. This is done using cookies and similar technologies. We use it in aggregate to improve the site, not to identify individual visitors.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade it. We do not share student work, essay drafts, scores, or session notes with anyone outside Maza Academics without your permission, except where the law requires it.
We occasionally like to quote a client testimonial. We ask first, every time, and we do not attach a full name to a testimonial without explicit permission.
We use a small number of third-party services to run the business. Each receives only what it needs:
We may also disclose information if required by law, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect someone's safety.
Most of our students are minors. Where a student is under 18, we expect a parent or legal guardian to arrange services and to be the point of contact for anything administrative. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through this website. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Parents and guardians may request to see, correct, or delete any information we hold about their child at any time.
We keep inquiry information for as long as it takes to respond and for a reasonable period afterward in case you come back to us. We keep client records for the duration of the engagement and afterward as required for tax and accounting purposes. You can ask us to delete your information at any point, subject to those obligations.
You may ask us to provide a copy of the information we hold about you, correct anything inaccurate, or delete it. You may ask us to stop contacting you, and you may unsubscribe from any email we send. To exercise any of these, email info@mazaacademics.com.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the General Data Protection Regulation. We honor those rights regardless of where you are.
You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser opt-out add-on, and you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings.
Maza Academics participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When this site links to a book on Amazon, that link may be an affiliate link, and we may earn a commission from qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you. This does not affect what we recommend.
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we limit who has access to client information and we do not keep more than we need.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be noted on this page.
