Policies & Information

Payment

  • Packages are paid in full before the first session, or with a 50% deposit and the balance within 30 days.
  • Trial and single sessions are paid at booking.
  • Pay by credit card through Stripe. Venmo and Zelle are available on request.
  • Unused sessions in a package expire 12 months from purchase.
  • Essay packages are valid for 12 months from purchase.
  • Packages cover a defined body of work. If you end a package early, any refund is at Maza Academics' discretion and reflects work already completed. See the Terms of Service.

Scheduling

  • Standard sessions are 1 hour. Trial sessions are 45 minutes.
  • Sessions are held virtually. In-person sessions in Manhattan may be arranged on request, subject to availability, at premium pricing.

Cancellation

  • 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule.
  • Single sessions and ongoing sessions with no set number purchased: a missed session or a cancellation with less than 24 hours' notice is billed at the full session rate.
  • Packages with a set number of sessions: a missed session or a cancellation with less than 24 hours' notice forfeits that session.
  • A session booked less than 24 hours ahead cannot be canceled without being billed at the full rate or, in a package, forfeiting the session.

Academic integrity

  • Eddie coaches and edits. The words in your application must be your own.
